Teacher 1
Mustaqeem Paulse

Director

Mustaqeem Paulse completed his Hifdh in 2008 at Darul Uloom Zakariya. He pursued an Alim course at Darul Uloom Arabiyya Islamiyya in Strand, studying under the auspices of Mufti Taha Karaan. Upon completion in 2015, he began teaching at the institute in the faculty of Qiraat and Ulum al-Quran studies.

He received Sanad and Ijāzah from Qari Saliem Gabie in the seven and ten Qiraat. Additionally, he earned Sanad and Ijāzah in the major ten Qira'at through Sheikh Ali Zanati (Cairo). Mustaqeem Paulse has also been granted Sanad and Ijāzah from distinguished scholars such as Sheikh Misbah Widn, Sheikh Yunus Ghulbaan, and Sheikh Salih al-Ubaid.

Mual Bashiera

Hifth Teacher/Tajwid Lecturer

Mual Bashiera is an accomplished Islamic scholar and educator. She began her journey in Islamic studies at Islahul Banaat, where she completed 4 years of study. She then continued her education at Muieenul Islam, completing an additional 5 years, culminating in a comprehensive 9-year academic journey in Islamic studies.

Mual Bashiera received her Sanad and Ijāzah in the Riwayah of Hafs via the Shatibiyah and Tayibah from Qari Mustaqeem Paulse. Her expertise extends to the Usul of the seven Qira'at, reflecting her deep understanding of Quranic recitation.

Currently, she serves as a Hifth teacher at Darul Furqaan and a lecturer in Tajwid for the Qira'at al-Quran Institute. Her role as an educator is marked by her dedication to teaching Quranic knowledge with clarity and precision, inspiring her students to excel in their studies.

Nuraan Pretorius

Administrator

Nuraan Pretorius completed her secular education at Alexander Sinton in 2010. She pursued her Aalimiyyah studies at Islahul Banaat, completing three years of intensive Islamic education. Furthering her knowledge, she obtained a qualification in Early Childhood Development (ECD) from the College of Cape Town, achieving an NQF Level 6.

Nuraan has experience in both Islamic and secular education, having taught at the Cape Youth Desk. She currently serves as the administrator of Qiraat al-Quran Institute, where she plays a vital role in managing the institute's operations and supporting its mission to provide quality Quranic education.
